Tandem Bike For Individual With Autism

A family in Madison Wisconsin has requested that a tandem bike be constructed so that their adult autistic son can go for bike rides with a caretaker. The bike should provide the autistic individual with a physical workout supplied with a positive feedback system that encourages him to keep pedaling. The bike should also be fully operated by the caretaker with an electric motor to aid in their pedaling. The autistic individual will be pedaling their section of the tandem bike autonomously, without input to the overall steering and powering of the bike for safety measures.
